Annette Diorio, Vice President for Campus Life & Senior Diversity Officer emailed the following message to the Lafayette community on Sept. 4, 2015:
I am pleased to announce that Amy O’Neill, J.D., has joined the College as Title IX and Equity Coordinator.
Previously, Amy served as the Title IX & Compliance Coordinator at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she created and launched the school’s first Title IX Compliance training for all employees. In her role, she oversaw all investigations regarding allegations of sexual misconduct to ensure compliance with Title IX, and coordinated support services with campus and community partners. She also pioneered training on gender identity issues for resident advisors.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of North Texas and holds a J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, MN.
As the College’s Title IX and Equity Coordinator, Amy is responsible for overseeing the College’s education initiatives and prevention programs regarding sexual assault, sexual misconduct, relationship violence, and sexual harassment. She is also responsible for ensuring the College’s timely response to reports of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, relationship violence, and sexual harassment, monitoring investigations into such reports, and developing and implementing policies and procedures related to these matters.
Her office is located in Hogg Hall 101 and she can be reached at 610-330-5082. She is looking forward to meeting members of the community this fall.
Please join me in welcoming Amy O’Neill to Lafayette.
