John F. McKnight, dean of intercultural development, and Robin Rinehart, dean of the faculty & chief diversity officer, emailed the following message to the Lafayette community on April 11, 2016:

Dear Students, Staff, and Faculty:

As many of you know, President Byerly has established a Student Support Task Force to ensure that we have a comprehensive system of support for our current students and those we hope to bring to Lafayette in the future. We will focus on enhancing existing programs and implementing new support structures that are tailored to the needs and experiences of specific groups, such as members of underrepresented groups, international students, and first-generation students. The task force will also work to ensure that all our student support programs are connected with academic advising and integrated into the Connected Communities program and the Commons system.

We would like to have as much input as possible from our campus community as our work gets underway, and hope that you will be able to attend one of the following open meetings that we have scheduled:

Thursday, April 14
12:15 PM – 1:15 PM
Marlo Room, Farinon Center
(pizza will be served)

Monday, April 18
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Interfaith Chapel, Hogg Hall

Tuesday, April 26
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Gendebien Room, Skillman Library

If you are unable to attend one of the open meetings, we ask that you share your comments and suggestions with us by filling out this online feedback
